How to iron embroidered patches on clothes?

Applying embroidered patches onto your garment is easy as pie but in order to do it effectively you need to remember about a few details.

  • Before you start adding your embroidery patch onto your piece of clothing, wash and iron your garment to make sure the patch sticks well.
  • Prepare a clean cotton cloth ahead. You will use it to protect you badge from iron’s heat.
  • Make sure that the fabric which is your garment made of is suitable for applying iron-on patches. Please, read our instructions below.

Instructions step-by-step on how to iron your embroidery patch onto a piece of clothing:

  1. Place your patch in a desired position.
  2. Put a cotton pressing cloth over the patch.
  3. Heat your iron up to the high temperature setting and press it over the cloth for 30-45 seconds.
  4. Repeat pressing on reverse for another 30-45 seconds.
  5. Leave to cool for 30 minutes.
  6. Add a few safety stitches if necessary.
